There are special requirements that must be adhered to when installing service penetrations for civil defence shelters. Our product selection contains waterproof, gasproof and dustproof Roxtec penetrations with fire classifications (in structures made of rock materials). These products are certified for the S1 class of civil defence shelters, which is the most common classification (of course, this classification also fulfils the older and less strict requirements). If necessary, the products can also be certified for the more demanding S2 class with a construction target-specific statement from the research centre VTT.
The Roxtec service penetration system is quite comprehensive as the products can be used to realise service penetrations across a wide range of sizes and configurations on land, at sea and even underground. Sewatek focuses on the Roxtec models with R frames and RM seals, which are the most commonly used models, especially in tenement buildings, and easy to retrofit. These models include plenty of options for feeding through both individual pipes or cables or different pipe groupings. The holes for the penetrations can be left open in the casting stage or drilled afterwards. Installation is also possible around already existing pipes and cables. The installation frame is also easy to open at a later stage, which makes additions or changes to the building's technical services effortless.
