S series cable penetrations (also known as electric penetrations) can be installed to feed cables from stairwells into apartments, for example. The product is dimensioned so that it has room for a slightly larger supply cable and a number of smaller cables. All cable slots do not need to be filled right away, which means the product also functions as a feed-through reservation for later needs.
Usually the product is cast into the wall element at the element factory, but it can also be used in structures that are cast on-site and in addition to walls it can also be used in intermediate floors.
The maximum outer diameter of the feed-through cable that can be installed in the larger feed-through pipe is 17.5 mm. The smaller feed-through pipes (0-8 pcs depending on the choice of chassis) can be used to house cables with a maximum outer diameter of 11 mm. This allows the structure to achieve the fire class of EI 120 in wall structures made of rock materials.
The feed-through of single cables or larger cable bundles must be done using some other products. For large cables and cable bundles we recommend the Sewatek D series service penetration. For cable rack penetrations you could use Zapp-Zimmermann firestop bricks, for example.
