The fire stop penetration unit for hollow-core slab floors is installed in the edge lane of the slab deck before the slabs are grouted together. The penetration unit is dimensioned so that its supports fit within the edge lane and the penetration allows for the easy implementation of the necessary steel reinforcements and electrical wirings.
Sewatek penetration units are delivered cut to the specified length with supports for holding the penetration unit in place (upper support and lower support). The feed-through pipes are also plugged at the ends.
We recommend using aluminium nails to fasten the lower support in place if the edge lane is wide enough and the conditions allow for it.
You can find installation instruction, detailed images and marking instructions to help with planning on our Downloadable files page.

An intermediate support for use with thin-shell slabs, for example Instead of or in addition to the upper support we can also deliver an intermediate support that seals around the feed-through pipe itself instead of the blue cup plug at the end of the pipe. This kind of support might come in handy when dealing with thin-shell slabs, or if the service penetration needs additional support along the way.
Sewatek feed-through pipe without installation supports We can also deliver Sewatek feed-through pipes as they are without installation supports. The pipes are cut to the right length and come with or without the cup plugs. Without the supports the feed-through pipe can be fastened in place using any desired methods. Without the supports, the feed-through pipes can be installed simultaneously with the line pipe to make alignment easier, for example. Penetration units for line pipes over 43 mm in diameter are always delivered without installation supports.
In addition to our own sales team, the product is also available from our retailer Okaria that stores the most typical sizes and lengths at its warehouse in Vantaa, Finland.
